Still worth buying and selling?
« on: April 29, 2014, 06:45:58 PM »
I'm considering buying and selling Bitcoin, but I'm not too sure if it still is worth it. I know buying and selling it in the past was a pretty good way to make money, but I haven't really been focusing on Bitcoin recently so I don't know much about its current situation. Is Bitcoin on the rise or would you say it just keeps dropping?

I believe the bitcoin price will rise as more and more infrastructure is built and more people adopt bitcoin and other digital currencies. With limited supply and increasing demand & validation, I can only envision the price of bitcoin will go up over long periods of time.

So, do you think I should buy Bitcoin now?

I plan to invest a lot, but I'm not sure when it will be the correct time to do so.

If you are planning on buying a lot of Bitcoin and aren't sure when to buy, I would suggest accumulating it gradually.  That way if the price goes down you can tell yourself "it's a good thing I didn't invest everything at once" and if the price goes up, your Bitcoin is worth more and you can tell yourself "it's a good thing I bought some Bitcoin when I did."  Maybe it's just me, but I love being right!!

I totally agree with this and I'm going to do exactly as you say. I guess it wouldn't be so intelligent to just splash all my cash now as it could drop.

Thanks!

I think you should always be modest when you start, and see how that works out. Never do anything rash.

Do you mean not go into it too fast?

If you're talking about day trading the coin, it's still profitable.  You just have to be smart about it.  There's definitely still a change of price throughout the day that you can bank on.  Buy low sell high, rinse and repeat.

There are a multitude of trading bots out there that work on the most popular exchanges.  I haven't used any of them, because I'd rather be in complete control of my trading.  I'd advise you to be very careful using these though.  There's probably a lot of fake ones that are viruses that steal your wallet addresses or passwords.
